June Escape: Fashion Angle

Went on a little trip so here are the outfits! Read on for more and see my latest reel for the brands.

DAY 1

LOOK 1: Mint green denim jacket, magenta/purple dotted mesh blouse, aubergine paperbag jeans with maroon/burgundy loafers

This was the first day away, so I wanted to go with a theme here. Coincidentally, we ended up doing a few adventure things like water flumes and highropes, but I'm happy to report my outfit survived! It was a very warm day, so I didn't wear my jacket but had it to hand. The blouse is a nice tie neck one which I wore with a purple camisole (as it's see-through otherwise). The jeans were comfy, as it is a boyfriend style fit so perfect for the activites. I was happy with the loafers; I probably should have worn trainers for highropes but I managed ok in this footwear and still did everything I wanted to! I did get my shoes and jeans quite dusty but, it's a price I'm happy to pay for a fun day out with a lovely outfit!

DAY 2

LOOK 2: Blue riding jacket, mustard floral shirt, black paperbag trousers and white trainers

Today was more of a relaxed day, so I wore more casual clothes. I chose to go with my trusty mustard floral shirt, which I have had for a few years and is SO comfortable. It is my actual size but comes up bigger so it's roomy and perfect for hot weather. Oh, and I don't need to wear a camisole because it isn't see-through, which is brilliant! My trusty black paperbag joggers - I mentioned them during my 'Bank Holiday: Clothing Edition' article. They are very easy to move in and still have a smart look about them, which is why they're one of my favourites to pack! As always, I wore my beautiful white trainers (as we planned to walk around the local area) and wore light pink schoolgirl socks. These socks are the white socks you wear at primary school, with the tiny holes in them. For some reason I still have a pair and they're light pink because they must have been mixed up in the wash. I love wearing them anyway!

DAY 3

LOOK 4: Mint green denim jacket, white and blue striped shirt, navy pull on trousers and white trainers

I really like this outfit because it is simple but classic. This is a new shirt, and my absolute fave, because it isn't see-through at all! I didn't need to wear a camisole with it, so in hot weather, I can throw it on and feel cooler. The trousers are pull on ones and very thin again, so good for heat. The only 'con' is that they crease quite quickly in my opinion, and they are quite long (for petite girls). I wore my green denim jacket as always and paired with my white trainers. My hairband is one from years ago, I used to wear it occasionally in high school. It's a nice deep blue chunky one, and I packed it incase I wanted to match the blue. I think it works well here!

DAY 4

LOOK 5: Blue riding jacket, yellow tee, dark blue paperbag jeans and brown boots

I was looking forward to this day. I wore pretty casual clothes, my go to jeans (which I am wearing as I type this, a staple in my wardrobe). They have this beautiful double pocket feature on the front, which is handy for a phone, money or sweets. I wore my vibrant yellow tee, it is a gorgeous bright colour and really makes a statement. To top it off, I wore my new brown lace-up boots, which are slightly big for me, but better if I lace them up tightly. In the morning, I had to host Youthforia, which is one of the youth projects that brings together young people from all over the North West. It was held virtually of course, and it went well!

We also went for a walk later, with climbing involved so I switched to my white trainers (which in hindsight was silly as they got slightly muddy but we learn).

DAY 5

CLOTHES: Checkered tie up blouse, limey-yellow trousers with Chanel inspired flats

I was dressing smart today as we had guests over, and I like experimenting with formal/casual outfits. The blouse has checks and also the houndstooth style print which is in fashion now. I really like the pussybow tie, which really pulls the outfit together. I paired my smart trousers with the blouse; they are slightly cropped and such a flattering fit, I wish there had been more in different colours! It was a really warm day so I wore my Chanel inspired flats, they are a classic ballet flat (worn by figures for decades, Princess Diana owned a pair). Mine are from Zara and they're perfect, the colours will go with most outfits. Oh, and this photo was taken after the day, so reminder: always take your outfit photos in the morning so they look better!

Day 6

CLOTHES: Checkered tie up blouse, limey-yellow trousers with Chanel inspired flats

Travelling day, so comfort is essential. Time to go back home, so I wore my new blue jumpsuit with black tie and the brown boots from before. This jumpsuit is great: I wanted something I could wear in very hot weather that would be thin and only one layer. This fits the bill, and even has a collar and buttoned up feature. The only thing is that it is quite baggy, so I did need to cinch it in and roll up the legs. I like that it is wide legged, but it might need altering to suit my height. I wore my green denim jacket, because it really goes with so much!

And for the eagle eyed of you, I wore my glasses instead of contacts so I could sleep on the way back.
